Emelya forever!

All publications

Some hardcore plugging is coming up, so if you don't like it - don't read on. It's a plug for the Emelya, and for the Gorynych while we're at it. Two deserving Russian heaters for the driver's a** planted on the seat.

Somehow I've never had any luck with cars that came with built-in seat heating. I had to buy all kinds of Chinese cr*p as an add-on. It would stop heating after a month or two, another one would be bought, until I bought the Emelya-2:
. And that was it. The Emelya has been serving faithfully for some 5 or 6 years now, and there's no wearing it out.

There was, true, one moment when I decided to buy a heater for the passenger too. But - oh horror! - there were no Emelyas in the store. And the scumbag of a salesman talked me into buying Chinese cr*p again, which was wildly uncomfortable, didn't heat, and kept sliding off somewhere all the time. The happiest moment was when I threw that abomination into the trash. And then spring came.

This winter I again thought about the poor freezing passenger on the right. And I went to the AUTOMAG, where there were three different Chinese cr*ps to choose from. But an Emelya there was not, try as you might. Yet the AUTOMAG assured me that this was very reliable, high-quality Chinese cr*p, and it came with a six-month warranty. And I, f***, bought the wretched thing again. No, I honestly checked - what if it was different? It wasn't. It heats just as lousily, slides around and gets covered in creases half an hour after being put into service.

The Chinese cr*p was carefully returned to the store. And this time I definitely had to go to the car market, where both Emelyas and even Gorynychs were to be found. The Gorynych is like this: . Even wider and more comfortable, for the Emelya is rather narrow. It doesn't heat with such terrifying force, true, but it's quite enough. And you don't have to switch it off after 5 minutes so as not to burn anything of yours.

I don't know, maybe you've discovered other reliable heater brands. I haven't discovered any others yet. So I support the domestic manufacturer with all my might. A rare case in the 21st century when our folks have made something better than the imported stuff.

PS: Yes, almost forgot. The a**hole Chinese heater has its wire sticking out strictly on the right. So if you put it on the passenger seat, the wire has to be run under the seat, it will inevitably slide down into the passenger's feet and get trampled.
As for the Emelyas and Gorynychs, their wire sticks out strictly in the middle. That is far more sensible and thought-through - which is also unusual for us, but great.
